Sectornomics is the belief and practice of investors and traders alike to look at the overall markets, industries, and sectors as a whole, in order to potentially determine how they could perform over the coming weeks, months and years.

In the analysis portion of this theory, it is not commonplace to digest and dissect each individual stock. It is used more to gauge the broader movements of particular industries within certain sectors compared to the overall markets as a group.

It is here that the term comes into play. After a wide-range of data has been collected, an educated investor might be able to determine various trends within the U.S. and International markets and be able to conclude where money is flowing in and where it is flowing out.

Although every other trader out there sees the same news and the same patterns within the markets, Sectornomics provides the education to allow students to possibly see something, such as particular movements of similar stocks within the markets, that others are missing, which may give you the decisive edge in the stock markets.
