Freddie Rick's Favorite Books

Reading books is a great way to illuminate your mind and expand your thinking. It's also a good opportunity to see things in a different way and grow as a person. The books we read can often define the sort of person we are. If we read good books, we are likely to grow as a person. If we read poor books, we are putting garbage into our brains.

BetterTrades founder Freddie Rick has read much of the best material that's been printed. He immersed himself in books about the stock market and investments when he was perfecting the BetterTrades stock market education system. He read in the morning, afternoon and evenings, whenever the opportunity arose. By turning on the light in his brain, Freddie was able to learn what to do and what not to do while pursuing a path to financial independence.

"I had to do something. So I read every book you could read on trading. I listened to every CD and watched every DVD I could find, and went to every related course that I could attend," Freddie told author Scott Schilling in the book, Talking with Giants.

Today Freddie Rick recommends two books to anyone interested in changing the direction of their life, financially or otherwise: The Bible and Think and Grow Rich.

As a devout Christian, Freddie has based most of his financial theories and teachings on Bible-based instruction. He has poured through the scriptures and learned the Biblical teachings on money and investments. At one time Freddie and Mitzi Rick traveled to coaches around the country with a program he wrote that was called, "Biblical Principles of Market Prosperity."

"There are no new antiques," Freddie says. "It all goes back to the basics that are taught in The Bible."

Think and Grow Rich is a motivational book written by Napoleon Hill that has sold more than 20 million copies. Hill interviewed many of the wealthiest individuals in the world and came up with a series of similar characteristics. He developed these into 15 laws of success, which can be used by anyone to achieve success. Hill writes about principles such as having a burning desire to succeed, faith, autosuggestion, and persistence. Even if the traits don't help with a person's bottom line, it will aid them in becoming a better, more-rounded person.
