What is the history of BetterTrades?

BetterTrades, a stock market education company, was founded by Freddie Rick in 2002. It was previously known as the "Gump Investor," a website that offered investment education, and evolved into a subscription-based business.

Freddie began the process with the "Gump Investor," so named because the adherents only needed to follow the one-two-three step process that he set forth. Freddie named the system after fictional movie icon Forrest Gump, a character that always followed instructions without asking questions. Freddie's system didn't require a lot of detailed explanation; it only asked the user to follow the program's prescribed steps.

Freddie used a trial-and-error method to perfect what eventually became the BetterTrades system. Freddie changed the company's name to BetterTrades in 2002 and it has grown into the most complete stock market education system in the country.

In 2007, Freddie founded CodeReady Solutions, a company which provides IT and marketing services for BetterTrades. In 2008, Freddie established a relationship with two-time Super Bowl winning coach Jimmy Johnson. Freddie personally taught the system to the former Dallas Cowboys coach and Johnson became a spokesman for the company.
